Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is officially cancelled. That makes me sad. SCC was a really great show. I find it ironic that given all the hype surrounding Terminator: Salvation (which opens tomorrow) that the TV show could not find a big enough audience.

What was up with the CG of the sub leaving the island on the next-to-last episode (Follow the Leader) of Lost this season? It was laughably bad and looked like it was done on an Amiga!

I can’t stop listening to the new Green Day album, 21st Century Breakdown. According to iTunes, I’ve listened to American Idiot more than anything else in my library. We’ll see if this new album challenges it. Not much else has come close.

Saw Star Trek on IMAX last Friday. It was a great movie. It’s like a cross between Star Trek and Star Wars. A great combination, in my opinion!

I recently read Angels & Demons in anticipation of the movie. The book was very good; much better than The Da Vinci Code. Early reviews indicate the movie is better as well, but really how could it be worse?

To continue my Dan Brown kick, I also read Deception Point which was decent. Now I’m waiting for the library to get Digital Fortress.

I watched Quantum of Solace on DVD last week. I didn’t like it. Casino Royale was great, but this one was confusing, violent and pointless. It didn’t feel like a James Bond movie.

Have a great Memorial Day Weekend, everyone!

  1. We liked Quantum of Solace but yeah, it’s definitely not your fathers James Bond and yes, Casino Royale was better.

Digital Fortress is okay, but not great.

I’m having a hard time getting into 21st Century Breakdown but it might take a few times through it to start appreciating it.

  2. Yeah, that sub on “Follow The Leader” was just plain embarrassing to watch. Took me right out of the moment.
