I was at Day 12 on this issue. I'm self employed and My MBP. is my life. I run my 4 small businesses off of it. Without it i'm lost, I can't pay bills, cut checks for employees/bills, etc. I was very patient. First board arrived at apple store was DOA. I called Applecare due to lack of phone response from local store. They called and got the situation. The day after it was supposed to be done I went in to my apple store completely distraught to find out it they didn't have an ETA on parts. I asked for a loaner. Due to the poor way it was handled and the fact that I was dead in the water without it. The service manager was awesome and took care of it. I walked out with a brand new MBP. I backup daily and was able to restore my old data from old MBP and was up and running in a few hours. THANK YOU APPLECARE AND LOCAL APPLE STORES!. This is why I buy apple products. They take care of their customers. There may have been a drop in service during the process, but they made up for it in grand apple style.
